Eligibility & Assistance Policy

Help Mitra India LLP

Important Notice

Help Mitra India LLP operates a membership-based community-support platform. Membership does not automatically create a guaranteed right to any fixed amount of money, medical reimbursement, hospital payment, insurance benefit or other financial assistance. Any assistance, where applicable, is subject to this policy, verification, eligibility, available community resources and applicable law.

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Eligibility & Assistance Policy explains the general requirements and process that may apply when an active member requests community support through Help Mitra India LLP.

The purpose is to provide a transparent framework for reviewing assistance requests while ensuring that membership fees are not represented as a guaranteed insurance benefit.

2. Who May Be Eligible

A member may be considered for community assistance when all relevant conditions are satisfied, including:

  • The applicant has an active Help Mitra India LLP membership.
  • The membership information is complete and verifiable.
  • The member has complied with the applicable membership terms.
  • The event or situation falls within an applicable support category.
  • The member provides the documents reasonably required for verification.
  • The request is genuine and is not based on fraud or misrepresentation.
  • Any applicable waiting, eligibility or participation requirement has been satisfied.
  • Assistance resources are available for the relevant request.

3. Active Membership Requirement

Assistance may be considered only for an active member unless a specific written policy provides otherwise.

Membership may be considered inactive where required membership fees are overdue, the membership has been suspended or terminated, the application is incomplete, or other applicable membership conditions have not been satisfied.

4. Membership Plans

Plan Joining Fee Monthly Fee
Accidental Support Membership ₹100 ₹20 / month
Health Support Membership ₹300 ₹49 / month
Family Care Membership ₹500 ₹99 / month

These amounts are membership/platform service fees for access to and maintenance of the Help Mitra India LLP community-support platform, membership administration, digital facilities and related services. They are not insurance premiums.

5. Types of Situations That May Be Considered

Subject to the applicable plan, rules and verification, the following types of situations may be considered for community support:

  • Accidental events involving an eligible member.
  • Hospitalisation or significant health-related situations.
  • Other genuine circumstances specifically covered by an applicable assistance programme.
  • Family-related support where the applicable membership programme permits it.

The categories above do not mean that assistance is automatically approved. Each request may be reviewed individually.

6. Accidental Support

Where an applicable membership programme includes accidental support, a genuine accident-related request may be considered after verification.

The organisation may request documents such as medical records, hospital documents, accident-related records, identity documents, payment records or other evidence reasonably required to establish the event.

7. Health / Hospitalisation Support

Where applicable, a member experiencing a health-related situation or hospitalisation may submit a request for consideration.

The member may be asked to provide relevant medical documents, hospital bills, discharge summaries, prescriptions, reports or other supporting information.

Submission of medical documents does not guarantee approval or payment of any particular amount.

8. Family Care Support

Where a Family Care membership programme applies, support may be considered for eligible family-related situations according to the applicable programme rules.

The organisation may require proof of the relevant relationship, identity and circumstances before considering the request.

9. Health Declaration & Pre-Existing Conditions

Members may be required to provide accurate information about existing or previous health conditions when requested during registration or assistance processing.

  • Members must not intentionally conceal material health information.
  • False or misleading health information may result in rejection of a request.
  • Supporting medical records may be requested where reasonably necessary.
  • Any applicable exclusion or eligibility condition will be considered according to the relevant programme rules.
Important: The health declaration is used for membership/assistance administration where applicable. It is not medical diagnosis, treatment or insurance underwriting.

10. Waiting / Participation Requirements

Help Mitra India LLP may prescribe a waiting period, minimum active membership period, payment continuity requirement or other participation condition for particular assistance programmes.

Any such requirement will be communicated through the applicable membership or assistance terms.

11. Documents Required

Depending on the request, the following documents or information may be required:

  • Member ID and registered mobile number.
  • Identity document, where required.
  • Hospital admission/discharge documents.
  • Medical reports, prescriptions or bills, where applicable.
  • Accident-related documentation, where applicable.
  • Bank/UPI/payment details where legally and operationally required for an approved payment.
  • Relationship or family documents for applicable Family Care requests.
  • Any other document reasonably required for verification.

12. Verification Process

After receiving an assistance request, Help Mitra India LLP may:

  1. Confirm the member's identity and membership status.
  2. Review the submitted documents.
  3. Verify the event or circumstances described in the request.
  4. Request additional information where necessary.
  5. Assess eligibility under the applicable assistance programme.
  6. Consider the availability of community resources.
  7. Approve, partially approve, hold or reject the request.

13. No Guaranteed Assistance Amount

No Guaranteed Payment:

Help Mitra India LLP does not guarantee that an eligible member will receive a fixed amount, a specific percentage of a hospital bill, full medical expenses, or any particular financial assistance.

Any amount, if approved, will depend on the applicable programme, verification, available community resources and the decision made under the relevant policy.

14. Community Resources

Community assistance depends on the resources available for the relevant programme and the number and nature of eligible requests.

Help Mitra India LLP may prioritise requests according to urgency, eligibility, verification status, applicable programme rules and available resources.

15. Assistance Is Not Insurance

HELP MITRA INDIA LLP IS NOT AN INSURANCE COMPANY.

The community-support mechanism described in this policy is not an insurance contract and should not be represented as health insurance, life insurance, accident insurance or any other insurance product.

Members who require regulated insurance coverage should independently consider obtaining an appropriate insurance product from a duly authorised insurer.

16. Medical Emergencies

Help Mitra India LLP is not an emergency medical service. In an emergency, accident or life-threatening situation, members should immediately contact an appropriate emergency service, hospital or qualified medical professional.

17. False Information & Fraud

An assistance request may be rejected or suspended if there is reasonable evidence of:

  • False or misleading information.
  • Fake or manipulated documents.
  • Fraudulent medical or payment records.
  • Misrepresentation of an accident or health event.
  • Attempt to obtain assistance through deception.
  • Unauthorised use of another person's identity or membership.

Help Mitra India LLP may take appropriate action under applicable law where fraud or unlawful conduct is suspected.

18. Duplicate or Previous Assistance

A member may be asked to disclose whether assistance for the same event has already been received or requested from another source.

The organisation may consider previous assistance when assessing a request in accordance with the applicable programme rules.

19. Approval, Partial Approval or Rejection

An assistance request may be:

  • Approved after successful verification.
  • Partially Approved where only part of the request is eligible or resources permit.
  • Held where additional information or verification is required.
  • Rejected where eligibility requirements are not satisfied or the request cannot be verified.

The decision and, where appropriate, the reason may be communicated through the registered contact details.

20. Review / Reconsideration

Where a request is rejected or partially approved, the member may contact Help Mitra India LLP and provide additional relevant documents or information for review.

A review does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed.

21. Payment of Approved Assistance

Where assistance is approved, the organisation may use an appropriate payment method after completing required verification.

The member may be required to provide accurate payment information. No member should provide a UPI PIN, ATM PIN, password or OTP to any representative.

22. Referral IDs & Representatives

A Referral ID is primarily used for identifying the referring member and managing membership records. A Referral ID does not itself create a right to assistance.

Representatives must not promise guaranteed assistance, fixed claim amounts, guaranteed income or insurance coverage unless expressly authorised under a separate lawful programme.

23. Suspension or Termination

Membership or access to assistance programmes may be suspended or terminated for fraud, false information, misuse of the platform, unauthorised representation, violation of applicable terms or other legitimate reasons permitted by law.

24. Privacy of Assistance Requests

Information submitted during an assistance request may include sensitive personal or health-related information. Such information may be processed and shared only as reasonably necessary for verification, administration, communication, legal compliance and the applicable assistance process, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Please also read our Privacy Policy.

25. Changes to This Policy

Help Mitra India LLP may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in membership plans, assistance programmes, procedures, technology or applicable legal requirements.

The updated version will be published on this website.
